Chevrefeuille, built in the 1980’s in traditional Perigourdine style combines character with modern living. It sits on a hillside with lovely views over the valley in our private country estate. You approach the house from a country lane and enter the drive which has sloped grassland on either side. There is a large private garden with shrubs and flowers, and steps which lead down to a superb swimming pool which has been rebuilt with a new terrace for 2008 season. The pool was specially designed with a shallow end and wide steps for young children and nervous swimmers..

The pool is set in a very large walled terrace area with poolside kitchen and outdoor covered dining area. The pool kitchen has a fridge, gas cooker and sink unit and is well equipped for poolside dining. The pool has underwater lighting and the surrounding terraces have floodlights for late evening relaxation. There is also a large terrace for outside dining in front of the dining room and a further terrace in front of a separate wing which houses two bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms.

You enter the front door under a covered porch into the hall. On the left there is a twin bedded room and bathroom opposite with shower, basin and wc. The hallway leads into a large dining room with french doors opening on to the covered outside dining terrace. An archway from the dining room leads to the modern Miele kitchen which is fully equipped with built in oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and Rayburn cooker. There is a  washing machine and tumble drier in the poolside kitchen.

The dining room opens into a very large sitting room with beamed ceiling, comfortable seating for 10/12 people, satellite TV, video and wood burning stove for winter accommodation. The house is centrally heated. Two sets of double french doors lead out on to the terrace and garden with superb views overlooking the swimming pool, valley and countryside. Stairs from the sitting room lead up to one double bedded room with ensuite bathroom and a further twin bedded room also with ensuite bathroom.

In a separate single storey building there is one double bedded room with ensuite shower room comprising shower cubicle, basin and wc, and a twin bedded room next door with ensuite shower room comprising shower cubicle, basin and wc, and a small kitchenette off the bedroom with fridge, kettle, china and cutlery. There is also a small covered terrace outside this part of the house.

Chevrefeuille is a lovely spacious house offering modern living with character. The garden is fully fenced and absolutely private from Passiflora our second house on this country estate. The house is fully equipped with all modern amenities, the floors are tiled throughout the downstairs areas with rugs, and the upstairs rooms have fitted carpets. There is a children’s play area in the grounds.
